I am a 500hr Certified Yoga Teacher and Minded Yoga Therapist.
I am the Eternal Yoga student..... Daughter, Wife, Mumma and Nanna of 4 gorgeous human beings and 2 furry canine beings
My Yoga journey began over 30 years ago back in 1992 when I was pregnant with my first born daughter.
A regular yoga practice helped me to take care of my changing body, it became an invaluable practice for me throughout my 2 pregnancies and thereafter.
Whilst my children were growing up I lived in Suffolk and also ran a family business. I was the Finance Director but I also took time to train in many holistic therapies over the years including various massage therapies , Indian Head Massage, Hopi Ear Candling, Advanced facial treatments, Reflexology and Marma Therapy.
In 2010 during a particularly stressful and challenging time in my life in which I struggled with personal health challenges. Yoga came to my rescue and it became an essential part of my journey back to holistic well-being.
On a week long yoga retreat, during daily practices with a amazing teacher and guide , I felt a dramatic mental shift and something wonderful ignited within me.
It was a profound experience and one that completely turned my life around. I would go as far to say it saved my life. A bit dramatic I know, but it's entirely how i felt.
This lead me into to a deep and explorative relationship with Yoga and the history and philosophy behind the practices. My journey was ever evolving and in 2012 I undertook a foundation course in Yoga which then led on to me qualifying as a Yoga Alliance Teacher with Camyoga in Cambridge.
I met so many inspiring people throughout my training and I was thrilled when I qualified aged 43 It was proof that if you have a dream or a goal it's always possible whatever your age or circumstances.
It's been quite a journey with the normal ups and downs of starting a new venture especially with the challenges of starting over in a brand new area. I lived and taught yoga to a wonderful community of lovely people yoga in the Chiltern Hills in Bucks for 8 years and I am now back teaching in North Essex.
My hope and vision is that I can encourage anybody to try yoga including those that might not normally come and join classes.
My journey and training continues and i always now ensure that I take time out each year to retreat for at least a week or two and continuously expand my knowledge and experience by attending yoga trainings and workshops.
During these last few years I have embarked on thousands of hours additional yoga training including
The extensive and thorough training received on the Minded Institute Yoga Therapist Training enables me to offer Yoga Therapy for a variety of chronic and psychological conditions with evidence based therapies .
I have recently been helping many clients on a 1-1 basis manage symptoms relating to menopause transition, Insomnia & sleep recovery, anxiety, Chronic fatigue,Long Covid and recovery from Illness & Injuries
The Minded Institute is a world leader in the development and implementation of yoga therapy and mindfulness programmes for those with mental health and chronic physical health problems.
A few years ago as a gift to myself for my 50th I realised a long term dream and embarked on a yoga retreat and training in Rishikesh , India which is the yoga capital of the world as part of my therapy training and research. It was an incredible and amazing adventure and i have returned with knowledge and insight which are a invaluable part of my classes and individual client sessions.
I truly believe regular yoga practice is a invaluable resource towards a happy and healthy life for all and it is my passion to share this knowledge and practice with as many lovely people as I can.
In this ever stressful and fast moving world it is so important that we take responsibility for our own wellbeing and take time to self care and nourish ourselves in positive ways.
Yoga is a perfect way to work towards this as it not only affects the physical body but can have a dramatic effect on your mental and spiritual well being.
If you have been thinking about joining a yoga class but still have reservations I am happy to discuss any questions or concerns you may have.
My classes are open to all in the community and modifications can always be offered. There is no requirements to be flexible or to be a certain shape or have a particular level of fitness, I promise you.
If you prefer I also offer 1-1 yoga sessions and therapy online or in person by appointment.
I look forward to meeting you soon

Hello lovely people
It has certainly been a challenging time this last year in which we have been adjusting to this new way of living and keep ourselves safe from contracting the virus.
Now more than ever, it is to be imperative and all important keep as healthy as possible and to move our bodies, get some exercise whether this is yoga, walking or home exercise videos and have access to tools and strategies to help maintain you and your families physical and mental health wellness.
Slow and Mindful Yoga is a excellent way to keep our bodies moving, to calm our minds and to improve health & wellness and although we are now moving back to in-person classes, I feel in the current circumstances that still offering a online option will be essential for the foreseeable future. I appreciate that many people have found this works beautifully and fits into their schedules and offers a great time and cost efficient way to practice yoga.
As a experienced Teacher and Yoga Therapist I can also help you with breathing techniques & mindfulness practices to to calm & nourish your nervous system reducing stress & anxiety and help to improve your immunity and resilience.
So if coming together in person in our regular community spaces doesn't feel comfortable for you for the foreseeable future, please be assured that group classes will be still held online via called Zoom which you can register for for free here.
